Mr. Ball has been the Chief Executive Officer of IFAC since March 2002. In this role, Ball has responsibility for developing and managing the execution of IFAC's strategy. He previously served as a member of IFAC's Nominating Committee and as Chairman of its Public Sector Committee. In the latter role, from 1995 to 2000, he initiated the development of international standards for public sector financial reporting. Ball is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and of CPA Australia.

Mr. Bandyopadhyay, Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has an illustrious career in the Indian Administrative Service. Under his stewardship the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has taken a motto of “Corporate growth with enlightened regulations”. Voluntary guidelines for “Corporate Governance” and “Corporate Social Responsibility”, both prepared by the Ministry, were released in the India Corporate Week in December 2009. His previous positions include Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises in the Ministry of Heavy Industry and Public Enterprises, Government of India.

Mr. De Bruin is head of the Corporate Sustainability Office of Royal Philips Electronics, a staff function focusing on all sustainability issues for the company. Reporting to the Board of Management of Royal Philips Electronics, Mr. De Bruin focuses on strategy and policy development and stakeholder management. His office drives the execution of sustainability action programs in the company. Mr. De Bruin has developed expertise on a wide range of sustainability issues, as well as extensive skills into the area of sustainable business development.

Mr. Buijink studied Political Science at the University of Amsterdam and worked there as a junior-assistant at the Europe Institute. In 1980 he entered the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Before being appointed Secretary-general by the new cabinet in February 2007, he served the ministry in several positions a.o. director-general of Enterprise and innovation, deputy director-general of Foreign Economic Relations and Managing Director of Senter, the implementing agency for innovation and sustainable development.

Mr. Butruille is a Director at KPMG Global Sustainability Services in Spain. During the last five years, Etienne has led numerous sustainability engagements mainly for large publicly traded companies both in an advisor and assurance provider capacity. Prior to this, he worked in an environmental consultancy in the UK. Etienne started his professional career as a research, design and production chemical engineer working both in the USA and Mexico. He also represents the Spanish National Institute of Accountants at the European Federation of Accounting Experts.

Mr. Curtiss is Head of Corporate Governance at rpmi RAILPEN Investments, the investment management and monitoring arm of the corporate trustee of railway industry pension funds in Great Britain. His main focus is on corporate governance and shareholder engagement with investee companies and others and public policy work. He is member of the International Corporate Governance Network board and chairs its Non-financial Business Reporting Committee which has a strong interest in encouraging better corporate reporting.

Ms. Dahlin is Secretary General of Save the Children Sweden. Prior to this, she served in the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs as Ambassador in charge of the Partnership for Global Responsibility, focusing on Business and Human Rights. As Deputy Director General of the National Board of Trade she was responsible for research, and among other things published reports on the effects of the WTO agreements for developing countries. She has been posted at the Swedish Embassies in Zambia, Brazil and Vietnam.

Dr. Dubach has a degree in economics from the University of Zurich, Switzerland and a PhD on 'Managing Environmental Communication in Multinational Companies' from the University of St. Gallen. Since 1997 she has been working for Holcim in several countries and functions. Mr. Kjaer is Deputy General Director of the Danish Commerce and Companies Agency (DCCA), which belongs to the Danish Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs. Mr. Ligteringen is the Chief Executive of GRI and he has held this position since 2002, when GRI was established as an independent organization based in Amsterdam. Ernst holds overall responsibility for GRI, including secretariat operations and the coordination of the worldwide GRI network of active stakeholders who participate in the GRI’s governance, working groups, reviews, and consultation processes. A lawyer by training, Loh had a 12-year career in commodities trading before becoming a legislator in 1992. Erin is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales, having trained with and worked for the international law firm, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer both in Europe and Asia. Frank is responsible for coordinating the company's global citizenship efforts, developing and managing the company's Citizenship Report, monitoring the company's engagement with stakeholders, and leading the company’s presence on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. He is the lead spokesperson for GE-sponsored disaster relief efforts and GE Foundation activities. Mr. Toshiya Masuoka is currently the Director for IFC’s Corporate Advice Department which houses IFC experts on corporate advisory services. Prior to this, Kevin was Director of Standards at the SCC (Standards Council of Canada), the organization responsible for Canada's National Standards System. Ms. Mironesco joined Vigeo in 2008 having previously been Director of SRI Research with Natixis Asset Management. Estelle graduated from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP-EAP) and spent the first 10 years of her career in commercial banking, primarily in London, holding positions in corporate analysis and in sales. She then worked, for the following 10 years, in asset management companies in Paris where she successively created and managed three buy-side analysis teams on the credit, equity and SRI markets.

Since September 2006, he has been the Director of Trade Policy & Globalization in the Ministry of Economic Affairs (DG Foreign Economic Affairs). Mr. Ravenel leads Bloomberg’s global sustainability initiatives - a Chairman’s Office effort and the result of his 2006 Bloomberg Global Leadership Forum proposal. Curtis has worked for Bloomberg in multiple roles including Financial Controller for Asia managing accounting, tax, treasury and audit services for 23 legal entities. This was preceded by various roles in the Capital Planning and Financial Analysis Groups. Curtis earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in History from Davidson College.

His experience ranges from identifying trends that affect business operations, assessing socio-economic impact, to improving sustainability reporting systems. He leads SustainAbility’s Engaging Stakeholders Program, dedicated to raising the bar in accountability and reporting and equipping its members to be effective change agents in their own organizations. Ms. Rosemblum is journalist and has graduated from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo, with specialization in Graphic Design by the School of Architecture and Urbanism (FAU-USP). She worked at Gazeta Mercantil, O Estado de São Paulo, Companhia de Noticias, and has worked since 2000 at Valor Econônico, as editor of special projects, among which the Company& Community section, a monthly supplement focused on corporate social responsibility that is currently named Sustainable Businesses.

Mr. Samek was appointed as the ITAIPU Binacional’s Director-General in January 2003. Prior to his current position, he was a Member of the House of Representatives in 2003 for the State of Paraná and was the Curitiba City Councilor from 1989 to 2002. He also serviced as the Director of Paraná State Department of Agriculture from 1983 to 1986. Ms. Skypala has been editor of FTfm since 2004. She joined the Financial Times in 1999, initially as investment editor on FTyourmoney.com, a personal finance website. In 2001 she moved to the paper, becoming deputy personal finance editor. Prior to joining the FT she was freelancing for three years, for the FT, Daily Mail and other publications. She has won numerous awards over the years, the last being in 2008 for Outstanding Contribution to Institutional Journalism in the annual State Street institutional press awards.

Mr. Sukhdev is the Project Leader for UNEP's 'Green Economy' initiative, a major UNEP project suite to demonstrate that the greening of economies is not a burden on growth but rather a new engine for growth, employment, and the reduction of persistent poverty. Pavan is also Study Leader for the G8+5 commissioned report on The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity ('TEEB'), a project he was appointed to lead in March 2008 by the EU Commission and Germany whilst still working full time at Deutsche Bank.

Mathis has lectured at more than 100 universities and is visiting professor at Cornell. Ms. Heather White is the founder of New-Standards, a research and consulting firm advising on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and global labor standards. For the last 15 years, Ms. White has been advising global brands on their suppliers’ compliance with labor laws and international codes of conduct, and regularly consults on corporate sustainability reports. She has advised over 300 U.S. and European companies on CSR and supply chain issues pertaining to labor practices and health and safety issues.
