Mr. Ernst de Groot studied International Law at the University of Leiden. He joined KLM on February 1, 1992. Over the years, he held various management positions including commercial alliances, labor relations, Schiphol strategy, environment and corporate center. Before joining KLM, Mr. de Groot worked as an attorney at the offices of De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. Effective July 5, 2007, Mr. De Groot was appointed as Managing Director and member of the Board of Management of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
